During these meetings, the internees talked about their lives in the Stanley Camp during the Japanese occupation. He retired in 2000 from St Paul’s College, where he taught history and English and served as vice principal and careers master. 古早人是有錢沒錢，討個老婆好過年，現代人是一定要花錢，才能租個女友回家過年，根據這些婚友社業者的說法，願意在過年期間賺外快的女孩，簡直多到不像話。單身男VS.婚友社，你們這兒有照片還是有啥呀，有照片好幾萬人呢，聽到沒有，好幾萬個女孩等你挑，只要交錢，就保證租借到滿意的女友。不過接下來這段話，才讓記者真的瞠目結舌。你想想你回家帶個女朋友，這晚上肯定你們是在一塊兒住，這個女友服務未免也太到家，問題是，這樣的情況萬一發生爭議，消費者有沒有保障呢？
不能違反公序良俗這樣一個原則，一旦出現相關的法律糾紛，你們這些約定是不受到法律保護的，這種服務因為違反善良風俗，所以租女友的人，一點法律保障也沒有。華人社會對別人私事，說三道四的陋習，要是可以改變，這種讓人嗤之以鼻的服務，也就不會應運而生了。
